The Final Keyhole: Fight Club

December 12, 2012

So 3 years ago my wife and I first attended the Keyhole Sessions, not really knowing what to expect or what we’d get out of it. Well damn if I didn’t find a renewed passion for my art, and more importantly some of the the best people this city has to offer. I’m so grateful to have found so many great friends there. I have no idea what our life would be like if we hadn’t gone, and frankly I don’t want to know. So thank you, Madame, for 3 awesome, life changing years.

These are some of my sketches from Keyhole’s final drawing session.

Aerial Silks, Dec 6

December 6, 2012

Another night sketching at Mo’s. Most of these sketches were of Zoey, another crazy talented performer. Again, very very quick sketches, since aerial work doesn’t have a lot of holding.

Aeriel Silks

November 26, 2012

Oh look, it’s Mo Bot. Cause I never draw her. Larger piece based of sketches from the other week.

Silks with Mo Bot

November 9, 2012

Finally had time to take a breather and get back over to Mo Bot’s place to sketch. She and two other insanely talented performers were practicing their aerial silk  acts, which was wonderfully challenging as it’s often OH MY GOD YOU HAVE ABOUT TWO SECONDS TO CAPTURE THIS POSE.
That being said, I’m fairly pleased with the results.
